PFD's two strongest international partnerships are with the United States Department of Agriculture and the United States Agency for International Development. These two institutions, alone, have provided more than $40 million in funding to PFD since 1993.

Other generous donors who have provided support to PFD's community-based programs include the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the Canadian International Development Agency, the Australian Agency for International Development, the United Nations Fund for Population Activities, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, the World Bank, the Government of Japan, the Government of Ireland, the European Union, Helen Keller International, the Packard Foundation, the McKnight Foundation, the LeBrun Foundation, the St. Paul Foundation, and the Allen Foundation.
