Partners
Overview

Partners for Development gives the greatest importance to the role of partners in every aspect of our work. This includes a deep commitment to involving local counterparts in needs assessments, program design, and implementation. PFD's partner-oriented approach also includes working with and harnessing the resources of the international community in meeting the needs of vulnerable populations.

PFD's commitment to working with partners was integral to the establishment of its first programs in Cambodia, Bosnia, Somalia, Rwanda, and Nigeria in the 1990's. Partners for Development has remained committed to that orientation, in work with local NGOs, citizen and faith-based groups, village councils, local private sector institutions, and government authorities to achieve tangible results in the fields of health, agriculture and veterinary health, water and sanitation, and credit.
